Cinnamon Smoothies & Noodle Nugget Goodies

Stall broken! 152.0 today...HalleluYah!

Discovered new stuff for menu:

Cinnamon Smoothie - Okay, I know a lot of folks have said they just aren't into the Grapefruit Smoothies cuz they are too tart. But I came up with adding 6 droppers Cinnamon Stevia + 1 t Cinnamon to them to really make 'em yummy. So maybe y'all will be more inclined to get the benefit of that wonderful negative calorie grapefruit this way!

Noodle Nugget Goodies - This is so easy and satisfying when you just feel deprived that I can't believe I didn't come up with it sooner. I took a bag of the 'wheels' shape Miracle Noodles, although any chunky shape will do, put them in a coffee cup and drizzled cinnamon (4 droppers) & dark chocolate stevia (10 droppers) over them, covered them with a baggie, and let sit in the fridge over night. Each one is a treasure of flavor and something deelish to chaw on! I'm keeping a cup in the fridge from now on! You can eat as many as you like on P2!

One can also soak noodles in tamari & garlic powder for a not sweet yummy.

I am NOT Bald!!!

To address (& squelch) a rumor that is apparently going around: I have been doing the wig thing, but I haven't lost all my hair! In fact, I do not wear a wig in my last several vids & folks can see it is still there! Here is a photo I just took with my webcam of my own, real hair!
I admit that I have thin hair to begin with and that it hasn't exactly gotten better since I began the protocol. It is common knowledge that rapid weight reduction generally results in some hair loss. But I certainly haven't gone bald or even close! I have developed a recipe for a scalp application during P3 & 4 as well as utilizing many of those same ingredients in my shampoo & conditioner for P2, 3 & 4. You can see that info here: Hair. So my hair is improving, actually.
I really have developed a penchant for the convenience and versatility of wigs, however, hence my use of them in vids & photos of late. No worries!

Round 3 Phase 4 Day 1

No more meat for me!
For the Steak Day I used a Laura Lynn brand (organic) rib eye from Kroger cooked on the Foreman Grill (available at my Amazon MiniStore on the http://HCGCoach.com site, just click the title of this entry). It only resulted in a 1.6 lb release, so it appears that the protein source is not the issue. It is likely a combination of the fact that I am apparently experiencing menopause (booHiss!) & I allowed my weight to climb too close to the set point that gave me so much trouble in P2 this round. So I was careful yesterday and still had a pound increase this AM! Still under LDW by half pound, though. We shall see how it goes tomorrow at the weigh in. I pray it won't be another Steak Day. I will do the Pudding from now on, though.
I discovered that there is glycerine in the stevia I was using (plain stevia, not SweetLeaf - this is what I get for buying it on sale) which is an alcohol sugar & can cause problems. I have stopped using it as of today & pray to find that was a contributor.
I am still sticking to P3 menus just until I am stabilized. I may start adding carbs like beans soon if I can slide with no 'Steak Days' for a while.

03/31/08
Dinner: Rib Eye & Apple

04/01/08
Brunch: Sheepra Smoothie P3
Snack: Kombucha
Dinner: Cucumber, 1/2 Avocado, Hemp Protein (3 scoops), Asian Sauce from Earth Fare, Miracle Noodles (half bag); 4 small pieces Protein Fudge

04/02/08
Brunch: Sheepra Smoothie P3
Dinner: Salad from new Jason's Deli (greens, olives, sprouts, artichoke hearts, banana peppers, okra), Sheepra Dressing with 3 scoops Hemp Protein & 2 T almond Butter
Dessert: 5 small pieces Protein Fudge

Waaah! ANOTHER Steak Day!

Well, I can hardly believe it...yet another steak day. Here's my chance to test the theory for all of you if the steak is what actually makes the diff. I have a feeling, though, that one reason all this is happening is the 'set point' weight that I struggled with so much during the last P2 was right around where I am now, 165.3, and because it was a set point, now that the weight has climbed back up there after the hard won reduction the last week of that P2, it is not wanting to go back down again. Letting it go back up over that holiday weekend was the mistake. Then, I really wasn't all that vigilant as I thought I had it figured out, so it went back up there and now it has got a foothold, apparently. Please pray with me that this Steak Day does the 4 lb trick it did last time!
Anyway, we praise Him even when it's raining!

Mom is an HCG VLOGer!

Good job, Muzzie!!!
I am sooo proud of her for doing the Protocol and now, also, for getting her first VLOG up!!! Click on the title of today's Blog or the link above to see her! Her YouTube name is MCGTennessee. She is absolutely amazing, isn't she?! Go check her out as she has a couple of great tips for HCGers!

As for me, well, Friday didn't go so well as I ended up having to do a 'Steak Day' AGAIN Saturday! I decided to do an experiment and see if Fish Day would work better or as well as Protein Pudding or Steak Days. This is not definitive by any means, but is interesting. It was a little better result the next day (-2.6) than Pudding (-2.2), but not as big a release as the Steak (-3.9) provided. I hope not to have another any time soon, but I will try Steak again just to see if it was the timing or if it results in a 4 lb release yet again.

Friday (165.0)
Brunch: Sheepra Smoothie P3
Snack: Kombucha
Dinner: Earth Fare Salad Bar salad
Snack: Bag of organic almond/dried fruit (I think that dried fruit did me in!) & Granny Smith Apple
Snack: 3/4 row of Protein Fudge

Saturday (166.6)
Dinner: 20 oz Flounder cooked on Foreman Grill
Snack: Granny Smith with Dark Chocolate Stevia

Sunday (164.0)
Brunch: Sheepra Smoothie P3
Snack: Kombucha
Dinner: Tahini Celery Avo Salad
Snack: 1/2 row of Protein Fudge

Note that I have new calculations on the Recipe page at HCGCoach.com that give the nutritional profile (calories, carbs, fat, protein) on a couple of the recipes including the Fudge & the P3 Smoothie. I did keep track of all calories consumed to try to avoid another Steak Day today. I went to BMR Calculator for Phase 3 and Phase 4 to make sure that I was consuming only enough calories to maintain my LDW, which turned out to be 1700, and that was if I was totally sedentary, which I am not. So let's see if this works.

HalleluYah!!! Now there's an alternative to steak day for vegans & vegetarians!
I call it 'Steak Day' Pudding!!! You can see the recipe by clicking on the title of today's post. It was sooo creamy, almost like the consistency of marshmallow creme! Super filling, too! I think you will find it is much better than a piece of dead meat! When you try it, please post your comments, okay?

Brunch: Sheepra Green Smoothie P3
Snack: Ginger Kombucha

Grand Opening of Sheepra's HCG Stuph Amazon MiniStore!!!

ANNOUNCING
the opening of the new

It is absolutely loaded with goodies that I have found to make the HCG Journey easier, more successful and FUN! I had a blast creating the store, thinking of getting to share these great items with all of you! Please let me know whatcha think, otay?

Yom Shlishi 03/25/08
Weight was 2.6 over LDW, BUT I have decided that with the confusion in getting back to my normal schedule, the impending/late TOM, and the fact that it dropped a whole pound after my morning 'constitutional' that I would forgo the Steak Day & simply cut back on my consumption today to compensate.

Still not doing all exercises (missing Back Bend over Ball, Son Salutations)

Brunch: Green Smoothie (same as yesterday but with an apple)

Dinner: Shoney's Salad (made by DH w/cherry tomatoes, mixed greens, brocc, caul, carrot, radish, sunflower seed - Thanks!) with 3 artichoke hearts in oil, some of the sunflower oil drizzled over, 7 Kalamata Olives & my own oil free P2 Dressing.

Snack: Pudding w/2 scoops Hemp Protein

Yom Revi'i 03/26/08
Waaaaah! Steak Day today. My plan didn't work:( Weight=166.8
I will go get an organic steak at Earth Fare & cook it on the George Foreman grill. Of course, it will work. Maybe then I will be back on track. Please pray for me;)

Later: Okay, Abba YHVH sent me the inspiration to create a Pudding Day to replace the Steak Day. It was wayyy more deelish than an icky ol' steak & more filling, too! Tomorrow I will tell you the recipe and how it worked!
