I am NOT Bald!!!

I admit that I have thin hair to begin with and that it hasn't exactly gotten better since I began the protocol. It is common knowledge that rapid weight reduction generally results in some hair loss. But I certainly haven't gone bald or even close! I have developed a recipe for a scalp application during P3 & 4 as well as utilizing many of those same ingredients in my shampoo & conditioner for P2, 3 & 4. You can see that info here: Hair. So my hair is improving, actually.

The moushcheLovely dinner I had yesterday that may have helped the big drop today is a new recipe on the Recipes page of the site for Spicy Mustard Cucumber Salad. Please check it out!

Round 3 Phase 4 Day 1

No more meat for me!
For the Steak Day I used a Laura Lynn brand (organic) rib eye from Kroger cooked on the Foreman Grill (available at my Amazon MiniStore on the http://HCGCoach.com site, just click the title of this entry). It only resulted in a 1.6 lb release, so it appears that the protein source is not the issue. It is likely a combination of the fact that I am apparently experiencing menopause (booHiss!) & I allowed my weight to climb too close to the set point that gave me so much trouble in P2 this round. So I was careful yesterday and still had a pound increase this AM! Still under LDW by half pound, though. We shall see how it goes tomorrow at the weigh in. I pray it won't be another Steak Day. I will do the Pudding from now on, though.
I discovered that there is glycerine in the stevia I was using (plain stevia, not SweetLeaf - this is what I get for buying it on sale) which is an alcohol sugar & can cause problems. I have stopped using it as of today & pray to find that was a contributor.
I am still sticking to P3 menus just until I am stabilized. I may start adding carbs like beans soon if I can slide with no 'Steak Days' for a while.

Mom is an HCG VLOGer!
I am sooo proud of her for doing the Protocol and now, also, for getting her first VLOG up!!! Click on the title of today's Blog or the link above to see her! Her YouTube name is MCGTennessee. She is absolutely amazing, isn't she?! Go check her out as she has a couple of great tips for HCGers!
As for me, well, Friday didn't go so well as I ended up having to do a 'Steak Day' AGAIN Saturday! I decided to do an experiment and see if Fish Day would work better or as well as Protein Pudding or Steak Days. This is not definitive by any means, but is interesting. It was a little better result the next day (-2.6) than Pudding (-2.2), but not as big a release as the Steak (-3.9) provided. I hope not to have another any time soon, but I will try Steak again just to see if it was the timing or if it results in a 4 lb release yet again.
Friday (165.0)
Brunch: Sheepra Smoothie P3
Snack: Kombucha
Dinner: Earth Fare Salad Bar salad
Snack: Bag of organic almond/dried fruit (I think that dried fruit did me in!) & Granny Smith Apple
Snack: 3/4 row of Protein Fudge
Saturday (166.6)
Dinner: 20 oz Flounder cooked on Foreman Grill
Snack: Granny Smith with Dark Chocolate Stevia
Sunday (164.0)
Brunch: Sheepra Smoothie P3
Snack: Kombucha
Dinner: Tahini Celery Avo Salad
Snack: 1/2 row of Protein Fudge
Note that I have new calculations on the Recipe page at HCGCoach.com that give the nutritional profile (calories, carbs, fat, protein) on a couple of the recipes including the Fudge & the P3 Smoothie. I did keep track of all calories consumed to try to avoid another Steak Day today. I went to BMR Calculator for Phase 3 and Phase 4 to make sure that I was consuming only enough calories to maintain my LDW, which turned out to be 1700, and that was if I was totally sedentary, which I am not. So let's see if this works.

Yom Shlishi 03/25/08
Weight was 2.6 over LDW, BUT I have decided that with the confusion in getting back to my normal schedule, the impending/late TOM, and the fact that it dropped a whole pound after my morning 'constitutional' that I would forgo the Steak Day & simply cut back on my consumption today to compensate.
Still not doing all exercises (missing Back Bend over Ball, Son Salutations)
Brunch: Green Smoothie (same as yesterday but with an apple)
Dinner: Shoney's Salad (made by DH w/cherry tomatoes, mixed greens, brocc, caul, carrot, radish, sunflower seed - Thanks!) with 3 artichoke hearts in oil, some of the sunflower oil drizzled over, 7 Kalamata Olives & my own oil free P2 Dressing.
Snack: Pudding w/2 scoops Hemp Protein
Yom Revi'i 03/26/08Waaaaah! Steak Day today. My plan didn't work:( Weight=166.8
I will go get an organic steak at Earth Fare & cook it on the George Foreman grill. Of course, it will work. Maybe then I will be back on track. Please pray for me;)
Later: Okay, Abba YHVH sent me the inspiration to create a Pudding Day to replace the Steak Day. It was wayyy more deelish than an icky ol' steak & more filling, too! Tomorrow I will tell you the recipe and how it worked!

How to Fill HCG Syringe
This post is for Muzzie! She is just starting out on her HCG Journey & she is a tiny bit over 70 yrs young! She is off to a great start, too, as her loading was impeccable! Muzzie, I just wanted you to see how to fill your syringe as accurately as possible. The blue line on this picture is where your accurate measure is taken. You would want that part of the syringe plunger to line up with the 1/2 or 0.5 ml mark.
Well, folks, the holiday trip was a bit rough. I actually had to do a steak day as I found myself first day away 0.2 lbs away from 2 lbs over LDW, then the next day I was 3.7 over!!! So I ended up having a 12 oz Filet Mignon at The Cheesecake Factory while everyone else chowed down on a multitude of goodies. I also ordered hot water for my Ginger Snappish Tea and Pellegrino Sparkling Water to have something to handle while everyone else ate. The steak was well done & butterflied, so I figured it was a major blessing that the chef didn't come out and do a Jim Belushi harekari by our table. But I wanted it fast and as nasty free as possible. I detest having to eat meat at all, for health & moral reasons, but there were simply no other reasonable options as we were having dinner there for my darlin' nephew Michael's birthday at his request. I admit the steak was somewhat tasty (for meat) & I am sure I had the most expensive entree out of our whole party of 10, but it was a drag having to give away the lovely asparagus & snap peas I ordered on the side that came with it. My reward was 3.9 lbs gone the next morning so that I was .2 under my LDW!!! HalleluYah!!!!! He IS Good!
I may have put myself back in jeopardy, however, as I ate strangely today and was already back up to 165.0 yesterday, so we'll see what happens in the AM.
Brunch: Green Smoothie (Cantelope, Grapefruit, Stevia, BarleyMax, Hemp Protein, Romain, Blueberries)
Snack: 1.5 rows Protein Fudge
Dinner: 1 Apple, wedged, used to dip in Almond Butter freely; 1 Can Organic Vegetable Soup
Snack: 1 Sorotto Almond Snack pack (small)

Round 3 Phase 3 Day 8

I am posting my prayer for a happy Purim for everyone early as I will not be at my 'puter at home for the next 4 days & won't have access to my stash of kewl graphics!
It looks as though I didn't totally get away with that 2/3 jar of Sunflower Butter! 164.8 today! BUT, there is also the fact that I have not had a 'movement' for a coupla days AND TOM is impending, SOOO hakunah mattata! I did do some of the Oxy-Powder last night and am anticipating correction of that problem immediately, if not sooner;)
YHVH blessed me with a answered prayers for strength & calm to get all my preparations completed for our trip tomorrow to NC to visit DH's parents & sister's fam. HalleluYah!

162.6 this AM! I am so far achieving my goal of staying below LDW this P3. Folks, I'm telling ya, Green Smoothies are the key for me. Round 3 - Phase 3 Day 1
Down to 162.0, but dropped even further to 161.6 before I got my water down. I don't tabulate that second weight as it was taken at a different time than my scheduled weigh ins. It is recommended that one weigh at the same time daily to get an accurate view of progress.
Planned lots of goodies today, but didn't have time. The filter to make Sheepra Silver - Colloidal Silver came in today, finally, but it didn't have the tubing or couplings, so I had to run out & get those. Treated myself to some new comfy shoes ($7 at Wal-Mart) instead of a food treat, and I really think I'm getting the hang of that. Also bought myself a kewl giant bubble maker ($1)!
So, anyway, if you are out there waiting for your Sheepra Silver, it will be mailing out tomorrow as it is generating as I type. This delay won't happen again for 300 gallons, so it ought to be a little while, though if orders keep increasing as they have, maybe I oughta buy a backup filter sooner! This one ran me $150 with the expedited shipping, but will pay for itself shortly. Thanks to all who have been so patient! May you be blessed for it!
Breakfast: Green Smoothie with double Protein (1/2 Pea, 1/2 Hemp) + Granny Smith Apple and extra half pink grapefruit
Dinner: Tamari/Mustard/English Toffee Stevia/Celery/Half Avocado/Hemp Protein Blend done in Food Processor. VERY filling
Got a nice email from Anuj Agarwal who offered to allow me to use this awesome creation displaying some of YHVH's most beautifully 'packaged' foods on the blog. Thanks, Anuj! Enjoy!

Round 3 - Transition Day 2 No HCG

Be sure to check out the HCGCoach.com site at it has my new stats posted graphically and tabulated. Just click on today's blog title and it will take you there.
Released a whole pound this AM. This seems to be typical on these transition days and, in prior rounds, the weight released at this time usually comes back on quickly after the first few days of P3. So I am not too excited about it, but it is still somewhat gratifying. I am a bit surprised because yesterday I broke down & used my favorite lip balm, the Tropical Traditions brand Tea Tree flavor 3 times. I figured with hCG still in my body that it would throw me off a bit, but it didn't at all! Hallelujah! I even added a half apple pudding to my menu with no consequences. Which all leads me to believe that these transition days probably have a bit of slack built in. That is a nice bonus for getting through your P2.
Breakfast: Green Smoothie w/extra t BarleyMax
Dinner: Lemon Curry Saloup
Note: 'Saloup' is a new word coined by Cynthia Collins & me that indicates a dish that is a Salad & Soup hybrid!
All scheduled exercises except dog walk performed.

Round 3 Phase 2 Day 23 - Milestone: Able to Wear Wedding Band Again!!!

Well, the roll is over and I didn't release any weight today, so I am designating this the first day without hCG and officially ending Round 3 Phase 2 to begin transition days to Phase 3. I may save the leftover hCG & use it after my 3 weeks at P3 to start Round 4 Phase 2. I really believe the CS will preserve it well enough to do that. Then again, it isn't but maybe a day & a half left in there, and it is nice to start with everything fresh, but I have 3 weeks to decide;)
Bit of a headache this AM, but nothing major. Comes & goes. Inversion seems to help.
I have been putting lavender essential oil on my calluses in my palms where my rings are rubbing when I use the inversion bar for arm hang/'chin ups'. Really soothing. I am so glad to discover that essential oils aren't really 'oils' per se and will not interfere with protocol. I adore using them as aromatherapy & for my personal scent.
Took care of a car full of recyclables, shopped for P3, & visited friends in the 'KRidge today ... just like going to a lovely, cozy tea room it was. Though I couldn't have dinner with them, Cynthia treated me to the most delightful flavored herb tea served in a darlin' china cup with a heart shaped lip! Got some good laugh-therapy and pleasant chitchat, too. Love ya, Cynthia & Timm!
Brunch: Usual Yumbo Green Smoothie (Cinnamon Stevia today)
Dinner: Lemon/Orange/Ginger Salad (Cucumber veggie choice)
Cinnamon Apple Pudding Dessert
All exercises done except Walking & Son Salutations
