Shorten Phase 3 &/or Skip P4? 
 
Q: Is it okay to only do Phase 3 for 2 weeks and then go back on to Phase 2?

Not recommended!

 
I do NOT recommend skipping Phase 4.  I have tried that and found that for myself, as well as many of my clients, this can really cause problems.  You need that time psychologically, for one thing, to adjust to the new, lower calorie intake while eating relatively normally, and to prevent feeling deprived if you have multiple rounds to perform in order to reach goal.  It also seems to help to stabilize the body's weight so that future rounds' maintenance is simplified.
There is one exception.  If one is morbidly obese and truly has a serious health requirement for rapid weight reduction, then this may be considered.

Tuna Noodle Casserole for P2 RECIPE

Phase 2: Tuna Noodle Casserole

1/2 Jar Rising Moon Garlic/Basil Pasta Sauce (any pasta sauce with NO Oil will do, but this stuff is yummy)
1/2 t Dehydrated Onion
1/2 12 oz Can Wild Caught Tuna, drained (it will be about 3.5 oz drained)
Dash Cayenne
1/8 t Celtic Sea Salt
1/2 Bag Miracle Noodles (
The Angel Hair Pasta is really great for this recipe)
Place all ingredients in oven safe bowl.  Cover with oven safe lid (I use a plate, but careful cuz it is tricky to not burn yourself when removing).  Bake 350 F for 1/2 hour. Chow!

Yes, I know, it isn't raw and it isn't vegan.  But I do occasionally get wild and splurge, and this is a nice way to do it.

Tip of the Day: Diet Soda Substitute

  

Yup, sodas are generally a major NO-NO on the Protocol.  Even the ones with artificial sweeteners have been clearly proven to cause cravings, one of the things that got us into obesity to begin with.  I know that sodas do not contain fat, but that High Fructose Corn Syrup sure does facilitate the production of fat in the body using those extra calories, which is how these statistics were evaluated.
 I don't recommend anything with artificial sweeteners (e.g., Splenda, Aspartame, SweetnLow, etc.) on or off the Protocol.  Those toxins are likely factors in causing the hypothalamus to do the crazy things we are trying to re-set it from!  Although there are folks who have used those products and still had success on the Protocol, I feel that we are trying to optimize our results and will accomplish that more readily by avoiding toxins.  
Sooo, if you want to have sodas, I highly recommend that you consider getting
A great way to make your own healthy, Protocol Legal sodas! I use purified water and then one of the delicious flavored stevias you can find in the Stevia page. My favorite is Mango! The Fountain Jet Home Soda Maker from Soda-Club lets you make your favorite carbonated beverages for less than half the price of cans.
Stevia is an excellent sweetener.  You may want to try the unadulterated powdered leaf (which some folks say doesn't have the bitter aftertaste) HERE.

Tip Of The Day: Sheepra's Booster Toddy

 
There is a new way to boost metabolism and enhance results on the Protocol that is very similar to the old Master Cleanse Diet.  Of course one is not allowed to have maple syrup on Phase 2 or 3, so that ingredient is nixed.  However, some folks have been having some success just doing the lemon juice, cayenne and water.  I tried this out myself the last time I did a round to get a bit off that I had gained. My recipe is a little different than the one going around, but this one sure did work for me.  I had the best round ever! 
Here is the recipe:
8 oz Purified Water, warm
1/2 Organic Lemon (Myer's) Fresh Squeezed Juice - from MasterCleanse
      Detoxifies the liver
1/8 dropper full Cayenne Pepper Extract - from MasterCleanse
      Boosts metabolism & regulates BP (Note: you may also simply use Cayenne Powder, but  I suspect the extract is more effective)
2 Capsules Cayenne Pepper
     Just to ensure there was enough to have significant effect
1 dropper full each Cinnamon Stevita & Peppermint Stevita - substituted for MasterCleanse Maple Syrup
      Makes the Toddy drinkable! & Cinnamon helps with cravings & metabolism while Peppermint soothes that cayenne burn so it doesn't hurt your tummy/exit;)
     Helps reduce cravings immensely!
     Overall health and immunity

I took this concoction twice daily.  This can also be used on Phases 3 & 4 on days when you may be consuming a bit too much carbohydrate/calories, or on a Steak Day to help boost the correction.  I don't know if omitting the Cayenne caps, Glutamine or BarleyMax is just as effective as that is not how I did it, though I have heard that some folks are getting results that way, except they don't use Stevita, they are using artificial sweeteners, which have been proven to increase cravings and I recommend against.

Do I Have to Eat the Whole Thing?

Q: I had a question about phase II. Sometimes I only eat a couple of apples a day and not the rest of the food, will this hurt me, or stop me from losing weight as fast?

No, according to Dr. Simeons in his treatise 'Pounds & Inches': "Those not uncommon patients who feel that even so little food is too much for them, can omit anything they wish." You can find this by reading a few paragraphs down after the actual menu on this page: Menu
